People in need are not nameless faces, they are people in our own communities. Much of the charitable work done by Knights of Columbus councils is done in our own backyards to benefit people who are our neighbors. Participation in our Coats for Kids initiative has continued to grow over the past years.
As part of the Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids program, councils all across North America purchase new winter coats for children in need. Through our Coats for Kids program, 1,625 local councils distributed 79,320 coats to children in need throughout the United States and Canada. Since the program began in 2009, more than 306,000 coats have been distributed.
